Let’s start with the good news – all our products are shipped for free within the UK! And who doesn’t love free shipping, am I right?
Items are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 service. This service includes email/text delivery updates.
For items ordered outside the UK we have two flat rate delivery zones – Rest of Europe £9.95 and Rest of the World £19.95.
Delivery & Manufacture Times
Our delivery procedure is perhaps a little different to other online stores you’ve shopped at, in that rather than hold stock, we order or make every piece for each bride individually.
Handmade Veil Delivery
When you order one of our handmade veils, you will be given a choice of manufacture time; either standard, which is about 3 weeks, or if you’re short on time you can ask us to make your veil on rush delivery by selecting the “Rush Service +£15.00” option from the drop-down menu. The manufacture of your veil then takes only 7 days. Obviously, this is costing you a little more, but it puts you straight to the front of our queue and gets priority in the sewing room. It’s also sent 24 hour tracked so no chance of it wandering around in the post.
Maximum Veil Orders
We have maximums set on our handmade veils at two per bride, per order. As we handmake each veil to order in your chosen tulle colour and type, this order limit helps keep our workroom flowing and our production on schedule. As much as we’d love to be able to make 5+ veils for each bride to try on at home, this just wouldn’t be workable with the manufacture timeframe we offer.
If you are undecided between more than two veils, consider ordering your favourite two first, then return and reorder the next ones on your list (if necessary). It’s free shipping!
For the rest of our items – our headpieces and other accessories – these are ordered in for you from their respective suppliers. Similar to how they would be if you ordered at your local bridal boutique. Most of them take around a week to arrive, with the exception of our underskirts and jackets which come from mainland Europe – these items take 2-3 weeks.

Ordering Multiple items
If you order multiple items from more than one category, they will all be sent together once the last item has either arrived, or in the case of veils, has finished being made.
Ordering Multiple Items with a Rush Order Veil
You can order a veil on our Rush Veil Service, along with one or more of our other accessories, and we will endeavour to deliver all items together as close to the 7 day Rush Veil Service timing as possible. The only items this wouldn’t be possible for is our Jackets and Underskirts as there’s no way to speed up the time they take to arrive from Europe.

If you’re really, really short on time and you don’t even have the 7 days of the Rush Veil Service available, get in touch. We may be able to get your veil made and delivered to you even sooner!
Of course we hope that you will be delighted with everything you purchase from The Wedding Veil Shop, but if for any reason you are not satisfied or simply change your mind, you may return the item(s) for a full refund within 30 days of receipt provided it is in its original, unused condition, and with the original packaging where applicable. Different policies apply for custom veils (see below). We consider parcels received 2 working days after posting as most items are sent on a 48-hour service. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item(s). Your refund will be in the form of the original payment, either to the PayPal account used or to your debit/credit card.
Our returns address is Taylors Bridal Boutique, 52 Highfield Rd, Blackpool, FY4 2JA. Please include your invoice (or a copy of) inside the parcel.
If you have purchased a veil and selected “Rush Veil Service + £15.00” from the options menu, please be aware that this optional add-on is an expedited manufacturing service charge, and once the service is rendered and the veil despatched, it becomes non-refundable. If you return a veil ordered on the Rush Veil Service, the expedited service element (£15.00) would be retained.
In line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2014, personalised products which are made to the customer’s specific requests are non-returnable or refundable. This includes our bespoke veils ordered via the Custom Veil Designer on our website, or by design discussions over email or telephone.
If the goods are faulty, not what you ordered, or do not reach you in perfect condition, you are entitled to a full refund or replacement. With regards to non-returnable bespoke veils, a replacement only will be offered. Please see below what types of issues would be classed as a fault on a custom veil. Please return the goods together with any original box/packaging, where applicable, along with a brief description of the fault or problem.
What counts as a fault on a custom veil?
Some examples of faults on a custom veil order might be…
- The veil is cut in the wrong length. (e.g. you ordered cathedral and we sent chapel)
- The veil is made in the wrong colour. (e.g. you ordered white and we sent pink)
- The veil has the wrong beading. (e.g. you ordered diamantes and we sent pearls)
- Anything similar to the above that differs from what is stated on the order invoice.
In these examples, a replacement would be made ASAP to the correct specifications and shipped free of charge.
What does not count as a fault on a custom veil?
Some examples of things that would not be classed as faults might be…
- The veil is too short for my dress. (If the length is what was ordered, this would not be classed as a fault or reason for replacement. Please seek advice and take measurements before ordering).
- The veil is the wrong colour for my dress and doesn’t match. (If the colour is what was ordered, this would not be classed as a fault or reason for replacement. Please seek advice and get samples before ordering).
- The veil doesn’t suit me. (If the veil you’ve received matches what was ordered, this would not be classed as a fault or reason for replacement. Please read through our guides, seek our advice beforehand and make sure you understand what each element of the custom veil you’re designing is and how it affects the veil before ordering).
It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure that the custom veil she is ordering suits her needs and that she has checked and confirmed things like colour and length before ordering. If you’re feeling unsure of what to select, consider booking a veil consultation appointment with us at our boutique, and we can go through all the options with you. If you live too far away from our boutique, consider trying on veils closer to home, perhaps at your next dress fitting, to get a better idea of what you like and require. If you’ve already received your veil and have realised you’ve made a mistake when ordering, get in touch and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do to help such as offer a discounted replacement or provide an alterations service.
