What Is a Chapel Length Veil?
A chapel veil is a full-length style that typically measures around 96 inches. It’s designed to just trail beyond the train of most wedding dresses, giving a romantic and refined effect.
Chapel veils are the most popular of all the long veil lengths — more than cathedral or floor length — so we offer more veils in this size than any other.
Not sure which length is right? Send us photos of your dress and we’ll happily offer guidance.
Do Chapel Length Veils Suit All Wedding Gowns?
Chapel length veils are designed to complement gowns with chapel length trains or shorter. So if your dress has a small to medium-length train — around one to two feet of fabric trailing on the floor — a chapel length veil should be long enough to fully surround the train and look intentional.
If your train is any longer than that, such as a cathedral train, you may want to consider a cathedral length veil or longer to ensure the veil extends past the dress in a balanced and elegant way.
Not sure what length your train is? Try checking with your bridal boutique or looking up your gown on the designer’s website — most list train lengths to help with styling choices like this.
How Long Is a Chapel Length Veil?
- Single-tier chapel veils: approx. 96 inches
- Two-tier chapel veils: approx. 126 inches (with a 30” blusher)
Chapel length is sometimes called church length.
Should I Get a Chapel Length Veil?
